Purliko Privacy Policy

Effective: not yet

This is a draft. It will be replaced once it has been reviewed.

  1. Your patterns never come to us. Patterns, drafts, progress, save points, motifs, your yarn stash and reference pictures are stored only on your device (in the browser’s storage or a folder you choose), never in an account, on our servers or in a database. A photo you turn into a chart is read on your device and not kept.
  2. Requests that pass through our server. Only when you look up yarn information do your search words (up to 80 characters), the page number and the number of the yarn you pick pass through our server to an outside yarn information service. Your IP address and your patterns are not passed on. Results stay in our function’s memory for up to an hour, and our code keeps nothing on disk or in a database. Search words are part of the request address, though, so they may appear in our host’s (Vercel’s) request logs (point 3). The source address and date of a yarn you pick are recorded in your pattern.
  3. Hosting. The site and the studio are served by Vercel (USA). The IP address, browser details and address of page requests may be kept in Vercel’s operating logs (for (to be confirmed)). Our server code keeps no logs of its own.
  4. Support email. Mail sent to support@purliko.com is received by Resend (USA) and forwarded to the operator’s mailbox. Our forwarding code neither stores nor logs mail, but Resend keeps received mail within its service ((to be confirmed)).
  5. Launch news. If you ask for launch news on the homepage, we receive your email address, the language you chose, when you asked and agreed, and a one-way hash of your network address (used only to limit repeated requests). We use them to send the studio’s launch announcement and news of major new features (marketing email); signing up is finished only when you press the button in our confirmation mail. A request that is not confirmed is deleted seven days after its link expires. A confirmed address is kept until you unsubscribe; then it is deleted from Resend, and the record of your consent and withdrawal keeps only a hash of it. Every news mail has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to support@purliko.com. We remind you of your consent every two years.
  6. Transfer abroad (launch news). Recipients: Plus Five Five, Inc. (Resend, USA — sending the mail and keeping addresses; support@resend.com) and Supabase, Inc. (keeping the record of sign-ups and consent; (to be confirmed)). Items: email address, language, times of sign-up and consent. When and how: sent over the network when you sign up or confirm. Kept: as above. If you do not want this transfer, do not sign up; you will then not receive the news.
  7. Cookies and tracking. The studio uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The homepage (to be confirmed).
  8. The Android app (once released). Pattern files are saved in the device’s shared Documents/Purliko folder, where other apps can read them. Files there may stay after the app is removed, so delete them separately (to be confirmed).
  9. Deleting. The studio’s trash is not permanent deletion. To delete everything, clear this site’s data in your browser. In the apps, remove the app; on Android, delete the Documents/Purliko folder too.
  10. Accounts and payment. There are no accounts or payments yet. When they come, this policy will first say what an account holds and who processes payments.
  11. Children. (to be confirmed)
